Fear is often used as a motivating tool in medicine and psychiatry. Patients are told that the cause of their condition is unknown, that there are no cures, that they had better take side effect-laden or deadly medication or they will get sick and die and that there is no spiritual basis for healing.

Hope is a much better motivating tool and hope has much better effects on one’s immune, endocrine, neurological and cardiovascular systems. Hope is based on the fact that science-based, rational, effective, alternative, natural treatments exist for most common medical and psychiatric problems. Hope is based on tapping into forces beyond and greater than the mind and body.
